Save each other, the whales are doing fine

I'm about to head into week 8 of my fall quarter here at SCAD and I've got some pretty interesting projects going on....more on those later. Recently, I had an assignment in my Digital Design Aesthetics class where he had to model an undersea creature and paint it in Photoshop. My concept ended up being an undead/zombie whale and the following images are from my process. My goal was to take something graceful/peaceful (like a humpback whale) and turn it into something terrifying/horrific (its opposite). As for how successful I was, well that's for you to judge.
